Forty-two-year-old Julie has her hands full. As the owner of Dream Street Books, wife to Sean, and mother of Maci, a thirteen-year-old girl on the brink of womanhood, Julie barely has the time to keep up with the present, let alone to take walks down memory lane.
But when an unexpected e-mail arrives one evening as she's closing the shop, it kicks off a chain of events powerful enough to whisk Julie back to her past-and change the whole course of her future if she's not careful.
Blaine McClintock was Julie's first experience of love-and heartbreak. Now, he's on the scene again and looking to find his way back into her life and arms. Julie can't help but be naïve about Blaine's intentions towards her-and with the possibility at a chance to redeem the past-what will the cost be to her lovely life in Portsmouth, Oregon?
Meanwhile, Maci is plunging headlong into young love and is falling hard for her first real boyfriend, Jordan. How will Julie's past mirror what Maci might be going through? Will Blaine offer Julie a new life she can't refuse, or will she stay in the comfortable existence she's built for herself and her family?
About the Author: As a child, Jessica Lockwood loved to sit and read for hours. Her mom says that there were times when she would have to force young Jessica to go outside and get some fresh air.
Lockwood grew up in a small Oregon town that offered her a childhood of adventure and lots of wonderful memories.
When Lockwood became a stay-at-home mom, the best part of her day was having her girls sit on her lap so she could read to them. Being passionate about books, she thought what better way to spend her limited free time, then to write a book that her daughters can enjoy when they are older.
Lockwood currently resides in sunny California with her husband of almost a decade, Jeremy, and their two beautiful daughters, Madylyn and Allysyn.
