About the Author: Martha Cecilia Rivera La primera mujer inmigrante latina que ha publicado una novela en español en Chicago (EE.UU.), La Ciudad de los Vientos, Martha Cecilia Rivera es una narradora y poeta nacida en Bogotá, Colombia. Estudió Psicología en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y obtuvo un grado de maestría en Comunicación Social, otorgado por la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, ambas en su ciudad natal. Actualmente vive en Chicago, U.S.A, donde escribe acerca de literatura para varios periódicos y revistas que circulan en USA (Contratiempo, El Beisman, Hoy) y en diversos países de Latino América (Con-fabulación, Diario del Huila), y se desempeña como Co-Chair del Encuentro de Autores Latinoamericanos de Chicago. Su trabajo literario ha sido seleccionado para presentaciones en algunos de los más importantes eventos literarios en su ciudad (Poesía en Abril, Palabra Pura, Guild Literary Complex, Universidad de Chicago, Universidad De Paul, Chicago) y ha ganado varios reconocimientos internacionales (La fuerza de la palabra, Argentina, 2013). Además de una colección de relatos de la cual forma parte su novela corta "Ópera de un hombre que buscaba", entre su narrativa se encuentran las novelas "Fantasmas para Noches Largas" (publicada por Fundación Común Presencia, 2014), y las novelas en preparación "Juguemos a las voces", y "El Portero" (título provisional). "La Fatalidad de la Gallina", es su primera novela publicada con Ars Communis Editorial.
