FANTASTIC FEARS is a strange series - not just the strangeness of the stories of horror, terror and mystery, but because most of the stories are unattributed or collaborative "shop" works, and yet they have been reprinted multiple times over the next half century or so. One notable exception to attribution is Steve Ditko first professionally drawn comic story in #5 (Stretching Things), and you can see hints of Matt Baker and/or Jack Kamen in the Iger Shop books. Perhaps you are not concerned with who did what and only want high-quality, shocking, perhaps disturbing horror - you will not be disappointed in the pre-code stories! Sit back with your favorite steaming beverage...... enjoy some horror. This book brings you select stories from the series - issues #2-5, 8-9. It was part of the last gasp of the Pre-Code comics, and for the horror genre it was truly the final months of creative freedom. Before long, death, dismemberment, beheading, gore and ghoulish terror would be gone for a couple decades. STRANGE FANTASY had a complex history with alternative issues, and unorthodox numbering, but brought us some excellent late-stage horror! As a testament to the high-quality story and art (much of it from the popular Iger Shop), many of the STRANGE FANTASY stories have been reprinted multiple times in the decades since. This is the largest collection of STRANGE FANTASY stories available in one book, because...... well, that's what we do! Contain stories from issues #1-2, 4-14.
NOTE: In addition to being incomplete, many of these issues are aged, and are not the best quality examples of comic. We continually work to upgrade and improve these books, and when we're able to do that will replace old versions, but if you're looking for perfect reproduction, this is definitely not the book for you.
THIS IS AN ECONOMICAL BLACK & WHITE VERSION OF OUR GREAT COLLECTION.
