About the Book

It is a collection of short stories, the common thread is family.
Obviously as a lawyer, I tell stories where a problem arises. A doctor also only meets his patients when an illness strikes them down.
Mariella and Paolo are sisters, Mariella always has the upper hand over her brother, such is life. Clever and clever, she follows her brother across a street; her curiosity is, they say, a nasty fault. We can imagine lots of things, but Marielle is always as cunning as her brother.
Maria looks older than she is, she's fat, ugly and broke, it's true that you can find a better CV. She is disillusioned, she has come back from lots of things that are not always pleasant to admit. By chance, she sees her brother who ignores her, he is successful, and he has lots of money. A few days later, she learned that he was recovering. She has an idea to replenish her bank account.
A deputy is a father, a wife, and two children; he is the upper middle class accustomed to honorary positions or the best places in the administration. His father holds a prominent place within the high judiciary. He has a mistress, Malika, twenty years younger than him, she is a teacher. She is found dead. The police are investigating. The family reacts.
Sylvia and Agostino go to see their grandmother, she lives in the Aosta Valley, she wanted to return to Italy, without being far from her family. She bought herself a small house. Sylvia would like an apartment in Geneva in order to continue her studies. If his grandmother accepted a retirement home, otherwise, dagger, arsenic or rat poison.
A boarding house, or a guest house run by a family, in the summer season, the two children help the parents. The father is an airhead, he paints, or sticks butterflies on paintings. She is the mother who keeps her feet on the ground, even if she writes poems. She's old enough to heat the pot, good lady.
Silvain goes to see his grandfather, a former shoemaker who fished on the ocean; his father and grandfather were sailors. He is nostalgic. The grandfather and the ocean are fishing. Sylvain tells him that he would like to never leave the ocean. From which a misunderstanding is born which throws Sylvain into embarrassment.
A man suffering from anxiety follows hypnosis sessions, he remembers that his mother made apple pies, he sees her again. She's been dead for a long time. This memory has a bitter taste.
Alan lives with a girl named Malika. Many years ago, his father killed his mother. He lived in a balanced manner between his grandparents from both branches. It hasn't always been easy. One of his grandmothers is intolerant, a very principled Christian. Memories of the dead disrupt family reunions. Islam is becoming an issue.
By chance in life, after an unwanted trip to Slovenia, Jennifer discovers that her grandmother was Slovenian, something she had never been told. She died at birth, which facilitates the construction of a past that did not exist. It's shock and incomprehension.
Life is not a smooth river, Mireille must bring her two grandchildren to Italy, an obligatory trip. She leads them by confessing that her father was Italian. Her grandchildren don't understand because she screams against immigrants. The origin becomes a shameful illness in order to fit into a mold.
On a whim, Magalie went to say hello to her grandmother by hitchhiking to Hungary. After strong emotions, she reaches the right port. Her grandmother reminds her of the story of the girl, of the Armenians who fled Turkey. The family worry is not there, a cousin seems to be playing a prank and sows havoc.
Other stories follow, my inspiration who built these stories, they have no connection between them.
