Una breve revisión de su historia, a partir de la conjunción de movimientos revolucionarios y contrarrevolucionarios que entraron en colisión y explotaron el 18 de julio de 1936; y un análisis inédito de las confluencias, disidencias y esperanzas frustradas que afectaron a lo que se dio en llamar el falangismo "auténtico", en contraposición a las falanges de Franco -la Falange de Serrano Suñer, la Falange de José Luis de Arrese y el nebuloso Movimiento Nacional-.El autor ha intentado dejar en breves páginas pistas suficientes para que las futuras generaciones tengan la oportunidad de conocer la esencia del movimiento iniciado por José Antonio Primo de Rivera -falseado desde distintos ángulos- y de que, lejos del discurso dominante y de eslóganes fabricados hace más de ochenta años, encuentren las claves de una propuesta revolucionaria de vocación integradora, sindicalista y comunal, que entraña la movilización de todos a favor de los intereses de la comunidad. Una propuesta política y económica para las organizaciones de trabajadores que ha de servir para reconstruir a la propia comunidad nacional, liberándola de toda dependencia respecto de los centros de poder no comunales, como lo son hoy día los partidos y los sindicatos dependientes de las estructuras de poder oligarquizadas.Una visión abierta de la idea de la Patria Hispana como proyecto de solidaridad universal que apela a todos los pueblos, principalmente a los pueblos hermanos de Hispanoamérica, donde prendió la idea del Hombre Libre: de la persona portadora de valores eternos. La persona, entendida como categoría ética y espiritual, que no es mera parte de ningún todo, llámese sociedad, Estado, nación, clase o iglesia. No cabe sometimiento alguno a la tiranía de los ídolos que el mismo hombre fabrica. Es la idolatría de la patria o de la raza (de fascistas y de nazis) que denuncia José Antonio Primo de Rivera, quien afirma que las realidades instrumentales nunca pueden ser consideradas como fines en sí mismas; idolatría que lleva a considerar a cada hombre como un ocasional transeúnte por dichas realidades -perfectamente reemplazable-, otorgándosele a su vida y a su dignidad un valor escaso y relativo frente a la totalidad perdurable. La dignidad humana queda así devaluada y arrollada. Y el siglo XX, con el comunismo, con los fascismos, con el neocapitalismo, con las masacres del Gulag soviético, de los campos de exterminio nazis y las bombas de Hiroshima y Nagasaki, nos dejó crueles muestras de ello. La Falange de José Antonio abrió un abismo profundo de incompatibilidad entre los totalitarismos y la revolución personalista-comunal que propugnó. Su propuesta, alternativa al modelo consumista y deshumanizado vigente, aún continúa inédita.
