About the Book

The Holly family was wealthy with Presidential ambitions for the Texas Senator and his son who owned the marine services in Surfside, Texas. There the Fairhaven line of fiberglass sailing ships were built. They were the top of the line and the people who worked there appreciated that fact. The owner, however, did not flaunt his wealth and stayed in a small elevated two bedroom house on stilts next to the property. He had only the one bedroom since the other room was actually his art studio. To those who merely saw him he was an art teacher at the local high school and not the owner of the marine works. When the four teenage girls from next door befriended him they were more interested in his beautiful and friendly collie Max. Shanna, Trisha, Trudy and Cherish Brown were the light skinned daughters of the very dark widow, Madina Brown. Everybody called her Maddy and she made certain to get to know the neighbor white guy who was close by if the girls needed help. She worked evenings as a nurse and the girls were left alone. Max the collie stayed with them until Maddy got home and then he returned to his own place with Brandon Holly, his so called owner. Painting a portrait of the dog with the four girls and their mother together, Brandon unintentionally won the heart of the mother. Her girls were partial to the neighbor man as he helped them always when they needed anything. As time passed a bond of friendship developed between the two adults in spit of their racial and social positions. When a passing hurricane took Maddy Brown's home, Brandon Holly gave them his place to live and decided to unexpectedly build them a home that no hurricane could blow away. By this time their love was deep enough for marriage; but Brandon's father had other things in his mind as he was winning the nomination for his party's Presidential candidate. His son would become the interim state senator filling his father's seat until he was elected as the state senator himself. Beyond that the man wanted his son to follow him in the White House as President of the United States. There was no room in the campaign for the introduction and association with a black widow and her four teenage daughters - none whatsoever. When do sons ever listen to their fathers!
About the Author: Ronnie Anderson is the author of over two-hundred and fifty novels of personal relationships set in far off world and those nearby. Ghosts and Gargoyles, Mermaids and Magic, Fairies and Flying Girls are only a tip of the fantasy tales that appear in his novels. The few hard nosed mainstream fiction stories are well worth the read. Even here no graphic sex, violence or language are expressed.
