About the Book

The 5th symposium (ESHP 2016) was organized at Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. Same as a previous ESHP series, theoretical, numerical and experimental researches on the impact of an explosion, shock waves and high-strain-rate phenomena in materials and research on related technologies for materials processing were the main topics of the symposium. We hope the proceedings of the symposium promoted the dissemination of knowledge and establishment of collaboration in this important area of materials sciences.
