Inhaltsangabe: Gang der Untersuchung: Die Diplomarbeit beinhaltet den theoretischen Hintergrund und ein Experiment zur Wahrnehmung und Zuschreibung von Führungserfolg bzw. Misserfolg. Sie wurde im November 2005 dem Lehrstuhl für Betriebs- und Organisationspsychologie der RWTH Aachen vorgelegt und insgesamt mit der Note 1,3 bewertet. Im 1. Kapitel wird der theoretische Hintergrund der Arbeit dargestellt. Führung und Führungserfolg wird definiert und Attributionstheorien der Führung vorgestellt. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf impliziten Führungstheorien wie kognitiven Theorien der Führung und dem „Romance of Leadership"-Konzept von Meindl. Zum ersten Mal werden diese kognitiven Führungstheorien mit den von Bass postulierten Führungsstilen transformational, transaktional und laissez-faire in Verbindung gebracht. Fazit des theoretischen Hintergrunds: Führungserfolg ist eine Zuschreibungsleistung. Die Theorie wird anhand von empirischen Befunden in Kapitel 2 belegt. Zahlreiche Studien zeigen, dass Führungskräfte sowohl für negative als auch positive Ereignisse in Organisationen verantwortlich gemacht werden. Die experimentelle Studie dieser Diplomarbeit untersucht den Einfluss des transformationalen, transaktionalen und Laissez-faire Führungsstils auf die Wahrnehmung und Zuschreibung von Erfolgen und Misserfolgen. 72 studentische Versuchspersonen hörten eine Rede einer fiktiven Führungskraft, die einen der drei Führungsstile widerspiegelte. Anschließend erhielten sie eine Rückmeldung über das Ergebnis eines Projekts, welches entweder erfolgreich oder nicht erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden konnte. Die Aufgabe der Versuchspersonen war es, die Erfolgswahrscheinlichkeit des Projektes und das Führungsverhalten einzuschätzen sowie zu bewerten, in welchem Ausmaß das Projektergebnis auf die Führungskraft, die Mitarbeiter der Projektgruppe, die Aufgabenschwierigkeit, die wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen oder auf zufällige Einflüsse zurückzuführen ist.
