About the Book

His brother was murdered, his ghost wants answers, and Nick McDeare ends up living in the beautiful widow's brownstone to get them. Before he nails the killer will Nick's own demons be exorcised ... or will explosive secrets torpedo his last chance at love?

After Broadway star Jessica Brady's husband is murdered she retreats from the world, until wicked Nick McDeare comes calling--her husband's long-lost brother. A celebrated writer and crack investigative reporter, Nick uncovers a labyrinth plot that turns Jessie's world--and Nick's--upside down. A quirky cast of characters includes wise guys, Andrew's gorgeous and devious best friend, a dogged NYPD detective, the irresistible Italian heir to a shipping-line fortune, a washed-up actor, and frightened witnesses galore.

"This is a beautifully plotted classic whodunit wrapped in a ghost story set amidst the bright lights of Broadway."--Tom Alan Robbins, Broadway star and playwright
About the Author: Deborah Fezelle trained as an actress at Juilliard in NYC. For 25 years she worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in regional theaters around the country. She began writing at the age of 10, when she penned her first play. EVIL marks her publishing debut, a story inspired by her sister's untimely death.

Sherry Yanow is the author of COOPER'S LAST STAND, an award-nominated Harlequin romance. She's also been a film and theater critic and an avid soap-opera buff, hosting a soap-opera message board. And then she met Deborah on that same board ...

When Deborah decided to check out her favorite soap actor, serendipity took over and she and Sherry began a writing collaboration that has spanned 10 years, including six staged plays, two web series, and THE EVIL THAT MEN DO, the novel that began it all. Deborah and Sherry love writing all kinds of popular fiction, from complex tales of love and loss to political thrillers to supernatural karma. In Sherry's "other life," she enjoys her family, her cat, her eclectic classes, and her new home in the beautiful Hudson River Valley. Deborah returned to Ohio in recent years, formed a theatrical company, and turned to directing. After serving as acting coach on the feature film UNDERDOGS, Deborah is now filming a web series based on THE EVIL THAT MEN DO.
