"Every Thought of the Heart" explores this concept in three different ways, explaining the process of our thoughts, as seeds, threads and steps. Our thoughts as seeds produce a harvest. What type of seeds are growing in the garden of your heart? What type of fruit do you receive? Would you like to change the outcome? The parable of the sower contains many wondrous truths about man's heart and how it should work. Your mind is like fabric woven of every thought you have ever had. Some threads need to be unraveled and removed and the fabric repaired. Do you identify with Adam or Jesus? Who are you? The direction of our lives is determined by the steps we take. Each thought of our heart points us in a direction. Enough of the same thoughts becomes the path of our feet. Through the understanding of the scriptures and by prayer coupled with the power of the holy spirit we can understand why we think as we do. We can change if need be. The goal of this book is to enable the reader to be able to do as Jesus commanded his disciples in John 14.27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. We can control our thoughts and therefore control our hearts. We can have peace.
About the Author: Words have been a passion for Dennis Dobbin since junior high school. A poetry assignment introduced him to words and his life changed. A couple years later his oldest brother introduced him to the Word of Life and his eternity changed. Poetry, short stories and eventually screenplays came out of him in a desire to work with words. For his education he attended Washburn University of Topeka from 1977-1979 where he studied creative writing and Communication Arts. He then moved to Los Angeles and studied filmmaking and screenplay writing at USC for two more years (1980-1982). In the mid 1990s Dennis attended Pasadena City College to study silk screen and etching and other printmaking types. Though the film industry has yet to become a profession, his love of the written word has never stopped. Dennis Dobbin has taught home Bible studies for over thirty years. In a setting of five or fifty he has endeavored to open up the scriptures to all who would listen. His discipline in the Word has carried over into his business life. He is self-employed as a fine artist, furniture maker and small businessman.
