About the Author: The author is a physician and surgeon who has practiced medicine for over 30 years. During this time he devoted considerable time and energy to compassionate care of his patients. It is equally important to note that he devoted just as much care and energy to his efforts to have a happy marriage, happy family, and happy life. In addition he has been a lifelong student of biology, psychiatry and psychology particularly as they relate to human mating. The author was married twice as of the writing of this book. The first wife turned out to be an adulteress and despite his best efforts this marriage ended in divorce with irreparable consequences for the children. The author's second marriage was a casualty of his failure to recognize the numerous red flags which were present from the beginning of the relationship. He was so anxious to repair his life after the divorce that he failed to take the proper precautions to protect himself from a predatory female. As a result of these failings he was stripped of the fruits of his labor by the divorce industry and an irrational wife. Fortunately, the one thing the lawyers could not take from him was his skill in his profession. His compassion for his patients distinguishes him from those who would destroy him for personal gain. God helps those that help themselves and those who care for the lesser of his children. As of this writing the authors contemplating a third marriage and a third family this time with proper precautions taken. Truly a triumph of hope over experience. This book is intended to pass on some of the lessons learned and hopefully prevent the reader from making some of the same mistakes made by the author.
