Everlasting, The Physics Behind Creation, is a book based on the science regarding how the general population receives information. The citations used for this book are mostly from YouTube videos where multiple experts are discussing a topic and then these topics are fact checked by Wikipedia. Wikipedia was chosen because when fact checking is needed, the most common practice is to use search engines such as Google. These search engines, the majority of the time, will take recommend Wikipedia as a relevant resource. Although it is one of the most common resources recommended, it is often frowned upon as a reputable resource.
A fantastic example of this is to google the question, "Is it ok to cite Wikipedia for references in a book?" This Google search will produce an article titled "How to Cite a Wikipedia Article/APA, MLA & Chicago" with a description saying, "Most academics agree that you shouldn't cite Wikipedia as a source in your academic writing, and universities often have rules against doing so. This is partly because of concerns about its reliability, and partly because it's a tertiary source." (Caulfield, 2024)
One might say the standard for research is that a person should go directly to the source of the information: what the expert with a Ph.D. associated with their name has said about the subject. Then the problem becomes how does a person fact check that "reliable resource" if there is not a consensus source that large groups experts agree on. For example, if debating origins of life, origins of the universe, or philosophy which expert would one rely on: Richard Dawkins, Ph.D., an atheist, Frank Turek, Ph.D. a Christian, Lee Cronin, Ph.D., an atheist, James Tour, Ph.D., a Christian, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ph.D., an agnostic, Steven C. Meyer, Ph.D., a Christian, William Lane Craig, Ph.D., a Christian, and the list goes on and on.
So, why does it matter what religion a person is or is not if that person is an expert in the field of study in question? It is important because the Doctors (Ph.D.) or "the experts" are the ones that interpret the information from the data collected from experiments and then pass it down to non-experts or lay people. Richard Dawkins, Ph.D., and John Lennox Ph.D., are an example of two "experts" disseminating information on the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. In Dawkins book The God Delusion he claims that most historians do not even believe Jesus existed. (Fusion, 2014; Radical Christ, 2013; Seminarian, 2023) In a talk or debate between Dawkins and Lennox, Professor Lennox called him out on this, and Professor Dawkins retracted his statement and admitted that Jesus existed. (Fusion, Radical Christ, & Seminarian) The problem is now that this information has been published in several different languages with admitted false information from the expert. that wrote it and unless you have been lucky enough to have seen the YouTube video where he admitted he lied then you would never know. The insolence of Professor Dawkins to make such a claim, about arguably the most historically researched person ever to exist, is mind-blowing. It is understandable that he would make such a claim because this claim supports his world view and helps him sell books even though he knowingly lied about it.
