Fach- und Führungskräftemangel erhöhen in Verbindung mit dem Wertewandel in der Gesellschaft die Schwierigkeit für Unternehmen, passende Mitarbeiter zu rekrutieren und zu binden. Mittels einer hohen Arbeitgeberattraktivität versuchen viele Betriebe, dieser Herausforderung zu begegnen. Dabei ist bekannt, dass über die Führung in entscheidendem Maße die empfundene Zufriedenheit mit dem Arbeitsplatz und dem Unternehmen und somit auch die Arbeitgeberattraktivität bestimmt wird. Bislang wurde jedoch kein wissenschaftlicher Zusammenhang zwischen einem ethischen Führungsstil und seinen Auswirkungen auf die Arbeitgeberattraktivität eines Unternehmens aufgestellt. Steigert ethische Führung die Arbeitgeberattraktivität? Diese Frage steht im Mittelpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit, welche untersucht, ob und inwieweit der von Brown, Trevino und Harrison definierte ethische Führungsstil mit seinen zwei Faktoren des Ethischen Rollenmodells und der Ethischen Mitarbeiterführung eine positive Auswirkung auf die wahrgenommene Arbeitgeberattraktivität eines Unternehmens hat. Hierbei wird bzgl. der Wahrnehmung zwischen folgenden Zielgruppen unterschieden: (a) bestehende Unternehmensmitarbeiter (b) Studenten/Absolventen Die Untersuchung erfolgte mittels einer repräsentativen Studie Anfang des Jahres 2014 (N=806).

Im Anschluss an ihr Bachelorstudium im Fach Medienmanagement (MHMK Stuttgart) schloss die Autorin im Jahre 2014 mit dem akademischen Grad Master of Science ihr Masterstudium im Fach Unternehmensfuhrung an der Hochschule fur Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nurtingen-Geislingen erfolgreich ab. Bereits wahrend des Studiums sammelte die Autorin umfassende praktische Erfahrungen in der Wirtschafts- und Medienbranche. Ihre Tatigkeit bei der Agenturgruppe Publicis als Junior Analyst motivierte sie, sich der Thematik der Arbeitgeberattraktivitat und Unternehmensverantwortung zu widmen. Ab dem Wintersemester 2014/2015 wird sie die Lehrveranstaltung CSR/ Unternehmensverantwortung" an der Hochschule fur Wirtschaft und Umwelt ubernehmen."
