Einleitung Die BILD-Zeitung ist für ihre emotionsgeladene Berichterstattung be-kannt. Die vielen Leser zeigen, dass unter anderem das ihren Erfolg ausmacht. Aber mit welchen Folgen? Die BILD muss Spannung und Empathie erzeugen. Bei der schnellen, tabulosen und plakativen Be-richterstattung der BILD, bleibt oft die Wahrheit auf der Strecke. Um ethisch richtig handeln zu können, ist diese jedoch von größter Bedeu-tung. Verschiedene Ethik-Ansätze verfolgen verschiedene Richtlinien und Grundsätze des ethischen Handelns. Im Folgenden werde ich kurz auf einige eingehen und zunächst die Moral von der Ethik abgrenzen, da beide oft den selben Sinngebrauch finden. Das Gewissen ist das In-strument, mit dem der Journalist sein ethisches Handeln bestimmen kann. Deswegen auch hierzu eine kurze Definition. Es folgt eine Betrachtung der BILD-Zeitung und ihrer wichtigsten Merkmale, die für eine Untersuchung dieser Art von Bedeutung sind. Im zweiten Teil meiner Arbeit stelle ich mir die Frage, welchen Scha-den richtete und richtet die BILD mit ihren Kampagnen an? Da eine ethische Verwerflichkeit erst durch die entstandenen Folgen an Be-deutung gewinnt. Hierzu werde ich den "Fall Sebnitz" betrachten, der 2000 durch die Medien ging. Auch andere Zeitungen haben in diesem Fall falsch berichtet. Mein Augenmerk soll im folgenden jedoch aus-schließlich auf die BILD-Berichterstattung fallen. Die Gründe eines journalistisch fragwürdigen Verhaltens müssen e-benfalls kurz angesprochen werden, da äußere Umstände das Verhal-ten der Journalisten bestimmen. Ist ein ethisches Handeln in unserer heutigen, hauptsächlich wirtschaftlich und nicht mehr idealistisch ge-prägten Gesellschaft überhaupt noch möglich?
