Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich BWL - Personal und Organisation, Note: 1,7, Technische Universität Darmstadt (Marketing & Personalmanagement), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Situation ist besorgniserregend: Bis zum Jahr 2020 wird ein Fachkräftemangel von zwei Millionen Personen erwartet. Nach der MIND Studie ist dieser Trend unter anderem in der einhergehenden Globalisierung begründet. Sie hat zur Folge, dass Mitarbeiter ins Ausland abwandern und somit das unternehmensspezifische Know-how abfließt. Aus dieser Situation resultiert für die deutsche Wirtschaft die Notwendigkeit, besondere Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um die benötigten Arbeitskräfte zu rekrutieren sowie die gewonnenen Mitarbeiter an das Unternehmen zu binden. Mitarbeiterbindung stellt aus den genannten Gründen momentan eines der wichtigsten personalpolitischen Themen in der deutschen Industrie dar. Die Wichtigkeit der Bindung von Mitarbeitern wurde ebenfalls von einer der weltweit größten Unternehmensberatungen, The Boston Consulting Group, erkannt und in einer aktuellen Studie, "Organisation 2015", genauer betrachtet. Aus der Studie geht unter anderem hervor, dass weiche Themen, wie "hohe Führungskompetenz, Veränderungsmanagement, Motivation der Mitarbeiter oder interne Kommunikation", zur Stärkung der Mitarbeiterbindung wieder an Bedeutung gewinnen und nachweislich den Unternehmenserfolg beeinflussen. Die aktuelle Gallup-Studie zur Mitarbeiterbindung ergab allerdings, dass trotz der erkannten Bedeutung der Mitarbeiterbindung nur 16 % eine hohe, 67 % eine geringe und 17 % der Mitarbeiter in Deutschland keine emotionale Bindung an ihr Unternehmen aufweisen. Dies spricht dafür, dass diesem wichtigen Thema noch nicht die gebührende Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt wird.
