Trabajo/Tesis de Licenciatura del año 2010 en eltema Química - Otros, Nota: Ninguna, Universidad de Los Andes Venezuela, Idioma: Español, Resumen: En este trabajo se realizó un estudio electroquímico de la polianilina (PANI) sintetizada por voltamperometría cíclica, utilizando un electrodo de carbón vítreo (CV) como electrodo de trabajo de área geométrica de 0,282 cm2, una malla de platino como contra-electrodo y un electrodo de Ag/AgCl (sat. KCl) como electrodo de referencia, a partir de una solución 5,0x10-2 M de anilina en 0,1 M de ácido sulfúrico, obteniéndose una película uniforme de PANI adherida a la superficie del carbón vítreo. Encontrándose, que la PANI es estable electroquímicamente en diferentes medios electrolíticos (HClO4; HNO3; HCl; H3PO4; H2SO4) si se trabaja en una ventana de potencial entre -0,2 a 0,6 V. Paralelo a estos estudios, se procedió a realizar la síntesis y caracterización del ácido 9-molibdo-3-vanadofosfórico (H6[PMo9V3O40]) el cual luego fue incorporado electroquímicamente a la matriz polimérica permaneciendo adherido a dicha superficie a pesar de ser sometido a cambios de potencial. Este sistema doblemente modificado (CV/PANI/H6[PMo9V3O40]), se caracterizó por voltamperometría cíclica y por dispersión de energía de rayos X (EDX).La actividad catalítica de los tres electrodos involucrados en este estudio; CV, CV/PANI y CV/PANI/H6[PMo9V3O40], fue estudiada utilizando como reacción, la oxidación del ácido ascórbico (AA). Los resultados señalan que la oxidación del AA sobre los electrodos de CV/PANI y el doblemente modificado (CV/PANI/H6[PMo9V3O40]) ocurre a potenciales menores (0,442 y 0,502 V vs Ag/AgCl respectivamente) que en el caso en que se trabaja con el electrodo de CV sin modificar (0,601 V). Adicionalmente, se observa un sustancial incremento en la corriente de pico en ambos sistemas.
