Obwohl die Erleuchtung außerhalb unserer Reichweite, ja jenseits der Sterne zu sein scheint, suchen viele Menschen heute nach einer Schrift, die sie schon beim Lesen verändert und der Erleuchtung näher bringt. Ramana Maharschi (1879 -1950), der große erleuchtete Meister des 20.Jahrhunderts, behauptete gerade dies von der Ribhu-Gita, die er als höchste und letzte der großen Indischen Schriften ansah.Die Ribhu Gita wurde von einem brahmanischen vedischen Gelehrten namens Bikshu Sastrigal in tamilische Verse übersetzt. Die tamilische Version ist eine freie Übersetzung des ursprünglichen Sanskrit-Textes, bestehend aus 1.924 Versen von solch schillernder Brillianz, dass Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi seinen Vortrag als eine starke Unterstützung empfahl für spirituelles Sadhana (eine spirituelle Praxis, die das ganze alltägliche Leben als Übung zur Vervollkommnung nutzt). Sie sei die einzige Schrift, sagte er, die durch einfaches Lesen zur Erleuchtung führen konnte.Die Ribhu Gita ist die Lehre von Shiva auf dem Berg Kailas an Seinen Devotee Ribhu, von dem die Gita stammt, die sich von seinen Namen ableitet.Bhagavan Ramana (Ramana Maharshi) bezog sich oft auf die Ribhu Gita in seinen Gesprächen mit Devotees und er soll gesagt haben, wenn man das Kapitel 26 der Ribhu Gita wiederholt lesen würde, könnte man spontan in Samadhi oder den natürlichen Zustand der Selbstrealisierung übergehen.Der erste Devotee von Bhagavan Ramana Palaniswami hatte dessen Aufmerksamkeit auf die Ribhu Gita gelenkt. So wird dem Sucher ein Führer zum Erwachen an die Hand gegeben. Es braucht nur des Lesens von ein paar Sätzen um ins nonduale Gewahrsein zu gelangen. Das Unglaubliche daran ist, dass der Sucher für eine kurze oder längere Zeit in den gleichen Geisteszustand gelangt, wie die großen Erleuchteten Indiens: Ein Gewahrsein, das keine Grenzen hat und alle Dinge mit einschließt, die wir in der Welt wahrnehmen. Wir sind dort angekommen, wo es nichts mehr zu tun oder zu suchen gibt. Frieden und Glückseligkeit sind einfach gegenwärtig. Das Ende der Suche.
