About the Book

Saphera called out, into the darkness... For anyone to hear her. She was crying, in pain, and her Silver Essence was rolling down, pouring from her wounds. The Sofus connected suction vacuums to her energy vessels, extracting the Silver Essence from her pores. They captured her, an Alpha Es, in the last few minutes of the War on Earth I. She was alive, barely holding on to her dear life, for the sake of her species. They could not capture her Silver Essence. She wouldn't let them, even if it cost her her own life, for their species would die out completely.
About the Author: ABOUT THE AUTHOR Afton was placed into the foster care system for adoption when she was three years old. She was adopted at five. And she survived... When she was 14 years old, she was finally placed back into "the system", (foster care). She was in the care of ACS, in New York City. From there, she was set into group homes and foster cares. It was not easy. Being that age, not many families want to adopt you. (Later she found that her mother had not given up the adoption rights, she just never wanted Afton back so no one else could adopt her even if they had wanted to anyway.) From that age Afton knew it was going to be hard. she would never have a family to call her own. She would ask the question, "Why was it me that had to go through so much at such a young age?" She felt like no one ever wanted her. Being in the system was hard, but she had been through tougher situations then that already. She aged out at 18 and did great things for herself. She has a lot to show for it. Staying positive is the best advice she gives to anyone out there that is struggling to make it to tomorrow. Aside from that she aspires to open a fund or something big for youth in foster care going through similar situations that she was in because of the adults that had no respect for her when she gets enough money to do so. She is now 28, and doing Audio Voice Over Narration for Audible.com and she has several audiobooks selling on iTunes and Amazon. She is the published author of 'The Flower You Once Held -Engraving This Melody' and several other poetic collections. She has been published by Howard Ely, in several poetic books. She has written many poems on Poetry.com and published her 1st magazine article, in the magazine "REPRESENT!", at age 14 while in a group home. After she did, she continued to write for them. Her goal as a writer/poet is to become the new age Edgar Allen Poe for the Millennium era or at least inspire greatness from the 'broken' children that feel they can't ever be anything, because she believes they are EVERYTHING! There is no bottom of the mountain for her and her family. For when she finds the peak, and she's able to jump, not only will she jump but she will plunge into her passions with no regrets. There's nothing stopping her, and there's only up from here!
