About the Book

Better environmental quality attracts more skilled workers at lower wages and firms have access to whose more easily in regions where environmental quality is higher. Hong Kong has high level of pollution because Hong Kong firms attracts more skilled works to work in high technological manufacuring industry to case air or water pollution.Production costs may be lower in regions with higher environmental quality if cleaner air and water result in lower rates of sick leaves and higher worker productivity. Hong Kong firms aim to raise worker productivity, so which uses high technological machines to raise whose productivity, but it also brings oil energy pollution to air or water.I give a hypothesis is that higher earnings and lower employment growth rates contribute to decrease in pollution growth rates, resulting in better environmental conditions in a country. The usual hypothesis is that earnings and environmental quality are positively correlated. Since as earnings rise, the demand for environmental quality increases through an income effect, as do the public and private resources available for environmental improvement. Otherwise, increase in employment might increase pollution activities in the region, due to a scale effect. The scale effect reflects the increase in the level of economic activity in the relevant constant techniques of production and composition of final product. Hence, it seems Hong Kong income growth associated with decreasing environment quality nowadays. Because Hong Kong is lower earnings and high employment growth rates contribute to increase in pollution growth rates, resulting in worse environmental conditions in Hong Kong. An empirical research on relationship between economic growth and atmospheric pollution was investigated to one sample developing country, such as China, which was based on the panel data analysis, the report was gathered China's economic and environmental data over 1991 year to 2010 year, it showed that there existed the long run relationship between the emission of pollutants and per capita (GDP) Gross Domestic Product to China. According to the panel estimation results from estimator, the relationship between emission and per capita GDP of China was inverse "N"-shaped. However, GDP relation of China could be considered as inverted U-shaped for the reason that per capita GDP of China of left turning point was to small. The relationship between economic growth and atmospheric pollution in China which was based by Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis measure method. It was seemed that Environmental Kuzents Curve hypotheses measure method might be an effective economic method to measure the indicator of relationship between environment pollution influence and economic growth to the sample research country, China. The China economic and environmental pollution sample report aimed to research whether China's economic growth would cause greater damage to regional, national and even global environment or environmental quality could be benefits from the increase of income and wealth to China. Finally, it reflected that China has have a positive impact on employment growth and economic growth, but it has also a high level of pollution at the same time nowadays. Because China is lower earnings and high employment growth rates contribute to increase in pollution growth rates, resulting in worse environmental conditions in China.
