About the Author Dr.Muhammad Iqbal Professor of Botany at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi specializes in developmental and environmental botany. He has to his credit some 200 research publications 20 popular articles and five books. He is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London the United Writers Association National Environmental Science Academy Indian Botanical Society and the Academy of Environmental Biology and has received HL Chakravarty Award (1986) of ISCA AI-Biruni Award (1988) of MAAS and the World Environmental Congress Award (1997). He has visited South Korea under INSA International Scientists Exchange Programme and delivered talks in the universities of Hong Kong Japan and Malaysia. Dr. P.S. Srivastava Professor of Biotechnology at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi specializes in plant biotechnology. He has worked as Visiting Scientist in Germany and as Guest Scientist in Holland. He has a research experience of 33 years and a teaching experience of 30 years. He has published over 80 research papers and review articles and has already authored three books. He has participated in a number of conferences/symposia in India and abroad. Dr. Tariq Omar Siddiqi Senior Lecturer at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi specializes in structural medicinal and environ-mental botany. He bagged a D.Sc. Of International University of Medicine Alternative Sri Lanka and a Silver Medal of the World Congress on Oriental Medicine and Yoga Bangkok Thailand in 1988. He has published about 50 research papers and participated in more than a dozen conferences and seminars in India and abroad.
