About the Book

Zur Unterstutzung von kumulativem Lehren und Lernen wurde in dieser Studie in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Schulpraxis eine Learning Progression zu den drei Basiskonzepten "Struktur der Materie", "Chemische Reaktion" und "Energie" fur die ersten beiden Lernjahre im Fach Chemie entwickelt. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Kernideen, d., h. grundlegende inhaltliche Aussagen, die in einer Strand Map logisch miteinander vernetzt wurden. Ziel der Studie war es, die Abhangigkeit des Verstandnisses einer Kernidee von dem einer anderen zu untersuchen, um mogliche Lernwege empirisch zu bestatigen. Dazu wurden zu jeder Kernidee Fachwissensaufgaben entwickelt, pilotiert und in einer Quasi-Langsschnittstudie kombiniert mit einer echten Langsschnittstudie Schulerinnen und Schulern der ersten drei Lernjahre der Sekundarstufe I vorgelegt. Die Qualitat des Fachwissenstests wurde mit Hilfe von IRT-Modellen bestimmt. Anhand des McNemar-Tests konnte ein Grossteil der angenommenen Abhangigkeiten bestatigt werden, wahrend sich gleichzeitig ein geringes Wissen der Schulerinnen und Schuler zeigte. Mit Hilfe Bayes'scher Netze konnte die Qualitat der Strand Map insgesamt untersucht und weitestgehend gestutzt werden. Beispielsweise konnte hierdurch gezeigt werden, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit Aufgaben zur Kernidee "Stoffe konnen aufgrund messbarer Eigenschaften unterschieden und identifiziert werden" richtig zu bearbeiten steigt, wenn auch solche zur Kernidee "Stoffe besitzen charakteristische Eigenschaften" richtig bearbeitet wurden, die Kernidee also verstanden wurde.
