Oder gibt es die Möglichkeit das eigene Geschick wieder selbst in die Hand zu nehmen, vor Ort zu entscheiden und gemeinsam auf lokaler Ebene selbstbestimmt die Zukunft zu gestalten? Ist es etwa möglich sich von den Unternehmen, die ja ebenfalls im rauen Wind des Wettbewerbs und der globalisierten Marktwirtschaft bestehen müssen, etwas abzuschauen? In der Betriebswirtschaft gibt es ein breites Instrumentarium, welches Unternehmen erlaubt sich marktgerecht zu verhalten, die eigene Nische zu finden und mit den eigenen Produkten und Dienstleistungen Erfolg zu haben. Diese Handlungsfelder subsummiert man unter dem Begriff des MARKETING. Im Rahmen dieser Diplomarbeit habe ich mich mit Stadt- bzw. Standortmarketing, also der Übertragbarkeit des Marketing auf die Bedürfnisse von Kommunen befasst. Es werden die einzelnen Bausteine (die Werkzeuge) und deren Zusammen-hänge genau erklärt und am Beispiel der Steirischen Stadt Gleisdorf, praktisch als Fallstudie, eine mögliche Umsetzung beschrieben.
About the Author: Andreas Unger, Jahrgang 1970 hat nach der Reifeprüfung an der Höheren Technischen Lehranstalt in der Fachrichtung Maschinenbau das Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit den Schwerpunkten Marketing und Informationswissenschaften absolviert. Nach der Tätigkeit im Marketing in der europäischen Niederlassung eines kleinen amerikanischen Sportartikelunternehmens hat er in die Erwachsenenbildung gewechselt. Dort führt er mit unterschiedlichen Zielgruppen Trainings, sowohl im sozialpädagogischen Bereich, als auch kaufmännische Fachtrainings in den Themenfeldern Rechnungswesen und Projektmanagement durch. Berufsbegleitend hat er weiters noch das Masterstudium der Wirtschaftspädagogik abgeschlossen und studiert seit dem Wintersemester 2014 im Doktoratsstudium der Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
