Elle vit protégée par son père, Jusuf Nock Ehén Boulaïf, un homme respecté, et ses frères, tous des professionnels établis, qui ont bâti une barrière morale autour d'elle. Aïah aspire à une vie simple, loin des projecteurs et des séductions de la ville.

Tout bascule lors de la fête annuelle du village, où l'excitation est à son comble. Parmi les invités se trouve Ackeli Hicha, un chanteur populaire au charme irrésistible et à l'égo démesuré. Obsédé par Aïah depuis longtemps, il voit cette fête comme l'occasion idéale de la conquérir, malgré ses nombreux refus. Ce soir-là, son obsession se transforme en violence: Ackeli la piège et la viole, brisant à jamais son innocence. La scène est secrètement observée par Akouar, l'oncle d'Aïah, qui filme l'agression, tiraillé entre l'indignation et la peur des conséquences.

Le roman bascule dans une spirale dramatique lorsque Akouar décide de révéler la vidéo de l'agression lors d'un moment de tension intense pendant la fête. La vérité éclate au grand jour, exposant non seulement la brutalité d'Ackeli, mais aussi la fragilité de la réputation d'Aïah. Cette révélation choque tout le village et commence une lutte morale et sociale entre la justice et la vengeance, où les lignes entre victime et coupable se brouillent.
