Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Theologie - Religion als Schulfach, Note: 1,3, Universität Erfurt, Veranstaltung: Islamphobie und Judenfeindschaft, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die nachwachsenden Generationen stehen im Mittelpunkt von Bildung und Erziehung. Daher müssen gesellschaftliche Veränderungen in der Schule besprochen werden. Hierbei fällt die Betrachtung realer oder potenzieller Konfliktträchtigkeit interkultureller und interreligiöser Beziehungen der deutschen Gesellschaft besonders ins Blickfeld (Biener S.13). Gerade Deutschland kann sich einen interreligiösen Analphabetismus nicht leisten, gerade in Blick auf die jahrelange Diskriminierung und der späteren Verfoldung und Ermoderung von Juden. An dieser Stelle lässt sich fragen, welche Kenntnisse und Einstellungen deutsche Schülerinnen und Schüler bezüglich eines Zusammenlebens mit anderen Religionen benötigen. In meiner selbstständigen Hausarbeit möchte ich mich diesbezüglich konkret auf den Islam und der damit verbundenen Ängstlichkeit vor diesem beziehen. Deutsche Schülerinnen und Schüler müssen die Möglichkeit bekommen, mit anderen Religionen in Kontakt zu treten, um diesen nicht ängstlich oder mit Vorurteilen gegenüber zu stehen. "Ausgrenzung, Angst und Abwehr führ[t]en [...] zu Isolierung, bis zur Herausbildung extremistischer Gegenpositionen und zu wachsender Gewaltbereitschaft" (Stock 1). Da in Deutschland derzeit etwa drei Millionen Muslime leben und diese die größte nicht-christliche Gruppe in Deutschland sind, ist es nahe liegend, den Islam in den deutschen Religionsunterricht zu integrieren oder sogar einen Islamischen Religionsunterricht zu schaffen, um dazu beizutragen, Voreingenommenheiten zu verhindern. Auch muslimischen Schülern sollte durch die Institution Schule der islamische Glaube nahe gebracht werden, um Eltern bei der Glaubensvermittlung zu unterstützen.
