About the Book

English Tracks: A Course in Poetry, Prose and Grammar is based on the guidelines laid down by the APSCHE. This book is designed according to the syllabus of the first year undergraduate English course. This book is accompanied by and audio CD. English Tracks contains lessons based on a selection of prose and poetry. The lessons in these two sections are designed to develop and sharpen the student's reading skills. Each lesson contains a warm-up that provides a lead to the text. Detailed glossary, notes on the authors, brief summary of the text and text-based comprehension questions designed to test varying levels of comprehension are some of the highlights of each lesson. About The Authors:

G. Damodar of Kakatiya University, Warangal, has thirty-one years of experience in teaching English. He has been an active researcher and has published many books in the field of ELT. He has designed learning packages for his students following his training in Stockholm on Computer Assisted Language Learning. These packages are widely used by students.

M. Narendra of SV University, Tirupati, has been a teacher of English for more than twenty-four years. He has published many research articles on Indian Writings in English. M. Narendra is also a creative writer. G.M. Sundaravalli of SV University, Tirupati, has twenty-three years of teaching English. She has been an active researcher and has published many articles on American Drama and the Canadian short story. M. Sarat Babu has been a college teacher for many years. He teaches English to undergraduate students at Silver Jubilee Government College, Kurnool.
