About the Book

A World on the Verge of Chaos Having just been inducted as a Champion of the Gods, Rescat's first mission is to save the gods from the exile imposed on them by the new gods of chaos. Chased by minions of Rancor, the evil god of destruction, Rescat must unite two elements of a powerful artifact in order to free the gods of order from their prison. As he struggles with foes, both mighty and mortal, Rescat must also come to terms with disconcerting memories from his previous lives. Meanwhile, as the armies of darkness march upon Oceania, the usurper tyrant Paris works to unite his people in a grand defense of the country. As he leads the fight against Caritea and the goblins, Queen Catherine flees Paris' influence. Accompanied by the champion, Seamus McSorley, she seeks forbidden aid from the elves across the ocean in protecting her unborn son, the true heir to the kingdom of Oceania. Further to the west, having been defeated by the goblin armies, Sergeant Major Bracco and Lieutenant Anfoss struggle to find some common ground as they devise a way to harry the Caritean forces with the help of their newfound allies. And in the battle above, the new gods of chaos work to eradicate all traces of the defeated gods of order, striving to bring darkness to all of the world.
About the Author: About the Author Richard Golland has been an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader since before entering school. While serving as an officer in the United States Army, he had difficulty finding good books to read in the fantasy genre. So he decided to write the book that he wanted to read. That book turned into a trilogy, the first installment of which is Champion of the Gods. The second book of the trilogy, Enemy of the Gods, was recently published. The third book of the trilogy, Champion of the One God, is currently in production. Rich has many other stories in the works, the first of which to be published is a yet to be named short story about an overweight detective in Las Vegas. Rich has traveled the world, living in Spain, Germany, Bosnia, Japan, and China. He currently works as a fifth grade teacher in the District of Columbia. Rich balances his time between D.C. and Maryland with his wife and son.
