Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Wirtschaft und Industrie, Note: 1,0, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Institut für Soziologie), Veranstaltung: Soziologie der Wirtschaft, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Wer sich einhellig mit der Entwicklung der deutschen Wirtschaft seit 1990 beschäftigt, wird feststellen, dass sich deutsche Unternehmen dem Wandel der letzten fünfzehn Jahre nicht verschlossen haben, sondern ihn aktiv mitgestalteten. Die Führungsetagen vor allem international agierender Unternehmen erkannten die Herausforderungen des zunehmenden globalen Wettbewerbs um Wertschöpfungsvorteile und veränderten daraufhin ihre unternehmerischen Strategien. Unumstößlich festzustellen ist in dieser Hinsicht die Auflösung der für Deutschland bis in 1990er Jahre typischen Verflechtung der Finanz- und Industriebranche durch gegenseitige Unternehmensanteile. Dies resultierte in einer Verflechtung nationaler Kontrollmechanismen im Unternehmensbereich großer Konzerne. Vielfach wurde im Zusammenhang mit diesem Wandelungsprozess im deutschen Management vom "Untergang der 'Deutschland AG'" bzw. des die Bundesrepublik kennzeichnenden Wirtschaftsmodells des "Rheinischen Kapitalismus" gesprochen. Diese Arbeit untersucht, auf welcher Grundlage der Wandel basiert. Es muss das Modell des Rheinischen Kapitalismus in einer gründlichen Darstellung angeführt werden, bevor das Phänomen des Wandels des deutschen Managements einer genaueren Überprüfung unterzogen werden kann. Insbesondere die zwei Theorieansätze des institutionellen Wandels und der kulturellen Selektion liefern eine profunde Grundlage für die Erklärung des Wandels im Management. Darüber hinaus wird analysiert, welche Variablen in Betracht gezogen werden müssen um zu erklären, was sich in der "Deutschland AG" verändert hat (und was nicht) und warum sie sich einem Veränderungsprozess unterzogen hat?
