Die vorliegende Ausarbeitung beschäftigt sich mit der zentralen Frage der Relevanz der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und der Methoden des Personalmarketings für die Gewinnung von Richtern am Beispiel der Justiz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen. In diesem Rahmen wird beleuchtet, welche Marketingmaßnahmen für die öffentliche Verwaltung - vor allem unter Beachtung der Grundsätze der Sparsamkeit und Wirtschaftlichkeit - zur Effektivierung in Betracht kommen. Die Rekrutierung neuen Personals für die Justiz sowie für den gesamten öffentlichen Dienst wird - insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund der bevorstehenden Welle von Altersabgängen - eine zunehmend große Rolle einnehmen.
