Ziel der Arbeit ist es, aus den Vorteilen, die das Employer Brandig bietet, konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen für die Einrichtungen in der Altenpflege abzuleiten, um den Fachkräftemangel erfolgreich zu bekämpfen. Diese Arbeit wurde auf der Grundlage einer Analyse der aktuellen Literatur zu den Themen der Personalsituation in der Pflege und des Employer Brandings erstellt. Die gesichtete Literatur bezieht sich auf den Zeitraum von 2005 bis 2018. Die für die Thematik relevante Literatur wurde mittels Schlagworten wie Employer Branding, Personalmarketing, Personalgewinnung, Personalbindung, Attraktiver Arbeitgeber, War for talents, Demografischer Wandel, Personalsituation in der Pflege, Fachkräftemangel in der Pflege, Employer Branding in der Pflege, Maßnahmen des Employer Brandings usw. ermittelt. Als Quellen der Literaturrecherche dienten vorrangig Printmedien in Form von Fachbüchern und Fachzeitschriften. Diese wurden ergänzt durch Internetquellen. Im Hauptteil der Hausarbeit werden zuerst die aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Trends, die sich maßgeblich auf den Arbeitsmarkt auswirken, skizziert, um danach die Situation in der Pflege, mit ihren Anforderungen und Belastungen, darzustellen. Im Anschluss daran werden die Ziele, Funktionen, Wirkungen und ausgewählte Maßnahmen des Employer Brandings vorgestellt.
