About the Book

EMONICS is a daring new approach to grasping the reality of emosexual attraction, from not a sexological but a bioenergetic perspective. It is especially geared toward understanding the true nature and etiology of sexual paraphilias and pedoemotions. The author discovered both Wilhelm Reich's scientific predecessors in the West, and the perennial energy-based science paradigm of the East. And he saw that those 'Reichians' who pretend Reich was the discoverer of what he termed 'cosmic life energy' are largely trapped by a myth, while Reich himself was well aware of his imbeddedness in a larger realm of scientific legacy. The author namely also studied the writings of Carl-Gustav Jung (1875-1961), Paracelsus (1493-1541), Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), Franz Anton Mesmer (1734-1815), Carl Baron von Reichenbach (1788-1869) as well as Georges Lakhovsky (1869-1942) and Harold Saxton Burr (1889-1973). And he found that not only in the East, through the old Chinese tradition of Feng Shui, a millenary science that relates to what Reich later called the 'atmospheric orgone', but also in the heretic Western science tradition (which was vehemently attacked and denied by the Christian Church and later then, by Cartesian science), the cosmic life energy was a well-established topic of research. The next, and perhaps even more important step, then, was to see what native science traditions have to say about the topic, and here the author found the amazing scientific religion of the Kahunas that Max Freedom Long called 'The Secret Science'.The author worked not only almost two decades on the matter in general, for the research, but writing the book itself took several turns and attempts, and several years to accomplish with all the changes time and again implemented in it. The real quantum jump, again years later, and actually in 1998, was then to apply this knowledge that he had in the meantime worked out as the reminder of a perennial science, for the understanding of emotions and sexual paraphilias. The author does not claim to have invented a new science: what he did was merely to forge a vocabulary destined to bring some coherence in a landscape of thousands of notions used, in various cultures, and by various scientists, for the cosmic and human energy fields. This vocabulary, then, he called 'Emonics', which stands for 'Emotional Identity Code Science'.The motivation for his research was the author's long-awaited paradigm change in forensic psychiatry, psychology and sexology. As for now, and under the present paradigm, forensic psychiatry and law enforcement act upon outdated premises and assumptions using a combative approach to pedophilia. He thus came up with a new and hitherto unknown 'bioenergetic' approach to treating and possibly healing sexual paraphilias, or for the least explaining their true etiology, which namely is emotional, not sexual, in the first place.
