About the Book

Justin Collins knew that his mother was a mysterious woman, but he still considered her the nicest and most caring human being on the face of the earth. The details of his father's murder were withheld from him, and he received no explanation for threats from government officials. His relationship with Rachel complicated matters, but his mother was still determined to achieve the goals that she and her husband were pursuing before it was decided that their work endangered the financial and political foundations of The Establishment. Doctor Henry Collins was eliminated after he and his wife discovered that a ubiquitous air pollutant was responsible for causing many of the illnesses that plague modern society. This discovery drew the interest of Ivorian scientists-scientists who were investigating the etiology of unexplained illness within an underground world. Strategies for research and the treatment of illnesses were devised with collaboration between health professionals from differing realms. But then came a horrific and violent backlash-the air pollutant identified by Doctor Henry Collins was associated with multitrillion-dollar industry.

Book 1 in The Emissary Series, followed by Enchanting Emissary and Seruna Mission.

The Author Writes: I am a physician. I wrote this book with the intention of revealing crucial medical and environmental data, but I also incorporated a story that I certainly considered to be fictional. Recently, I took an outdoor stroll with a scientist who migrated to the United States from Europe. We went outside because she did not want to answer any questions inside my office; and in addition to that, she insisted that I leave my cell phone behind. We talked as we walked, and she confided her belief that some of what I consider fictional within this novel is factual. She claimed that information was somehow imparted to my mind. Her sober eyes and sagacious visage indicated utter sincerity as she conveyed her belief that revealing too many details from our conversation could be fatally dangerous, so I agreed to limit what I disclosed. Thus, having met with this distinguished lady who obtained a doctorate degree from a university ranked among the best in the world, and who has authored several books and received a reward for the best literary work in her nation, and who can read and understand over ten languages; I make no claim that everything appearing to be fictional in this novel is necessarily fiction.

The author is a physician who relishes adventure, fantasy, and romance. After his efforts to serve as a missionary in Africa proved unsuccessful, he returned to college to study communications and New Testament Greek. It was while serving as a college nurse and private physician in a small medical office in Houston, Texas, that a monumental environmental discovery came to him. The discovery brought about enormous repercussions, including threats upon the author's medical practice, his freedom, and his very life. His subsequent experiences with government, politics, and the impact of airborne cyanide upon the lives and health of American citizens are encapsulated within the pages of this book. Although the storyline may be fictional, the medical data presented is an accurate assimilation of information gathered over many years.
