About the Author: Tanya Hanna is a Musician, and a board certified holistic health coach. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Musicology from New York University, her MBA from Miami University; with a specialty in International Studies and Marketing. She later trained in traditional and modern nutrition theories, contemporary health studies and health coaching, at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York; Energy Healing studies at OakRose Academy of Light and Reiki studies with Joseph Darville and Mychal Bryan. Tanya is an active member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP), Bahamas Anti-Aging Medicine (BAAM) and the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC). During her training at IIN, she studied over 101 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world's top health and wellness experts. Her teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University's Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, a bestselling 'writer' and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities. Her education has equipped her with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and knowledge of different dietary theories, she works with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results. In the music field, Tanya has widely traveled as a musician and has performed with the artists Michael Bolton, Eddie Levert, Chic Corea, Art Blakey Jr., and most recently Billy Joel, Jeff Haynes and Gary Haase. Some of her most noted performances included command performances for Queen Elizabeth II, Sir Sidney Poitier and actor Michael Douglas. Business endeavors: Tanya is the founder and director of Wholeness Lifestyles Cooking, cofounder of You In Music magazine and Maximumbass; and currently performs at Graycliff Restaurant, Nassau, The Bahamas.
