La escuela le mostró otro mundo, pero no tan distinto del que ya conocía; ella cree que así es la vida, no conoce otras formas que le hagan pensar diferente, si aprendió a leer, fué por su propio esfuerzo y entusiasmo, porque era invisible para sus profesoras, la discriminaban por su timidez y no hicieron nada para ayudarla cuando ella sólo con su mirada pedía ayuda a gritos. Entre el silencio y la tristeza empieza a soñar con que algún día todo pueda cambiar, sentir una mano que acaricie su cabello y escuchar de los labios de sus padres un "Te quiero", pero esa posibilidad se aleja cada vez más a medida que crece. El dolor más grande lo vive en su adolescencia, cuando es su padre quién desmorona su mundo, pero ella debe callar, sufriendo en soledad, todo parece estar en su contra; realiza trabajos que no corresponden a su edad. Los malos tratos y la humillación la llevan a tomar una decisión apresurada, se casa pensando que cambiará su vida, pero no es así, sólo aumentan sus dolores; entonces encuentra una persona desinteresada que le ofrece apoyo incondicional y Elisa ve en ella una madre adoptiva, escucha todos sus consejos, empieza a estudiar y desde esos momentos empieza a ver la vida distinta. Se gradúa en la Universidad, ha cumplido el sueño de su niñez cuando jugaba con sus copitas blancas y ha cumplido una meta propuesta en su adolescencia; se siente felíz, ahora ríe más y llora menos. Logra su independencia económica y se libera del matrimonio. Ha dejado atrás todo lo dañino. Es el momento de aplicar su empatía ayudando a otras niñas, niños y adolescentes con sus consejos y apoyo incondicional como lo hizo con ella aquella persona que conoció en su camino pedregoso y que cumplió el rol de madre que no le pertenecía; como Profesora sacará a la luz esas niñas y niños invisibles. Si lo recuerda todo es para dar gracias a Dios por rescatarla de la oscuridad e invitarla a ver esos destellos luminosos en esta nueva etapa de su vida.
