Ils commencèrent à en feuilleter les pages rapidement. Quand soudain, Elhanan s'interrompit. Il regarda devant lui. Au loin, cinq silhouettes sombres se déplaçaient à toute vitesse. Elles se figèrent un instant avant de disparaître.
- Raphi, ils arrivent ! s'écria alors Elhanan.
Il venait à peine terminer sa phrase que les mystérieuses silhouettes réapparurent sous son nez. Il s'agissait de colosses gigantesques. Chacun mesurait au moins deux mètres de haut et pesait bien plus de 100 kg. Tous portaient la tenue typique des caravaniers du désert. Une toge noire recouvrait l'ensemble de leur corps. Alors qu'un long turban indigo entourait leur tête et leur visage. Seuls leurs yeux étaient visibles. Les cinq colosses cheminaient vers Elhanan d'un pas lourd et mécanique. Leurs yeux étaient rivés sur lui et le fixaient sans relâche.
- Plus vite Raphi ! Plus vite ! cria Elhanan.
Raphi trouva enfin la page qu'il cherchait. Il en recopia le contenu sur un morceau de parchemin. Il était très concentré et prononçait chaque mot avec ferveur.
- Retourne à ta poussière ! hurla Elhanan à l'un des colosses.
À ces paroles, le géant se métamorphosa en un amas de terre.
- Retourne à ta poussière ! répéta Elhanan une deuxième fois, puis une troisième fois.
À chacune de ses incantations, les colosses se transformaient en un tas de poussière.
- Tiens ! dit alors Raphi en lui tendant le parchemin.
Elhanan le saisit rapidement et Raphi se remit à écrire.
- Retourne à ta poussière ! s'écria à nouveau Elhanan.
Mais cette fois, rien ne se produisit.
