About the Book

Electronic Product Design is intended to serve as a text for undergraduate students of electronics and telecommunication engineering. Increasing automation in product development, rapid growth in technologies and changing needs of customer have brought revolution in the electronic product design practices. To fulfill these requirements, this text comprehensively discusses theory and practices of electronic product design.
The book explains product assessment with introduction to basics of reliability and causes of failures. Analyzing the current trends followed in the industry, the text suggests practical design guidelines and methods applied to single prototype, instrument or product, as well as mass production. This text also contains material related to software models and quality of software development processes. Besides, the book has detailed coverage of tests carried out on electronic products and various standards used.

About the Author

R.G. KADUSKAR, M.S. in Electronics & Control and M.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, is assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Pune Vidyarthi Griha’s College of Engineering & Technology. Prof. Kaduskar teaches courses on Electronic Product Design, Electromagnetic Engineering and Power Electronics. His main areas of interest include VLSI Design, Mathematical Modeling and Simulation. Prof. Kaduskar has also authored Network Fundamentals and Analysis, Principles of Electromagnetics and Network Synthesis and Filter Design (with Wiley India). V.B. BARU, M.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and pursuing Ph.D., is assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune. Prof. Baru teaches topics on Basic Electronics Engineering, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Linear Integrated Circuits, Analog Integrated Circuits, Mechanical Measurement and Control, Applied Electronics, Electronic Design, Electronics System Design, Consumer Electronics, Opto-Electronics, Electronic Product Design, Audio-Video Engineering and Multimedia Techniques, and Embedded Video.
