About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

BASED ON REAL-LIFE ACCOUNTS.

"You received incorrect information about me, I'm very much alive." -George

December 5th, 1945. WWII is over and all the soldiers are hoping to return home quickly. Five TBM Avenger airplanes take off from the Ft. Lauderdale airbase for a very simple training mission on the ocean, but after a series of difficulties and some careless mistakes, they disappear without a trace.

A few hours later, a rescue plane which left in search of the five missing planes, also disappears. After some harrowing days the entire crew of Flight 19 are considered and pronounced dead.

The day after Christmas, one of the missing soldiers' brother receives a telegram stating: "You received incorrect information about me, I'm very much alive.".

Were there any survivors from Flight 19? What happened to those twenty-seven crew members and those six planes?

With a setting that he recreates to perfection, with a fast-paced narrative, and with extensive research, José Antonio Ponseti weaves an exciting novel in which many of the mysteries that surrounded Flight 19 come to light for the very first time. This is a story about adventures, flight, hope, love, friendship, and survival.
