1950: Perón y Evita manejan las riendas de Argentina con mano firme y puños apretados. Mauricio Goldstein, intimo amigo en su adolescencia de Ernesto Guevara, se une a un movimiento clandestino y proclama su mensaje de paz y justicia social durante mas de medio siglo. En un paseo de estudiantes, con plena inocencia se lanza a predicar abiertamente sus nuevas creencias de extrema izquierda. Marta, su amiga y admiradora le presenta a Alba. Luego del mutuo enamoramiento, Alba y Mauricio se entregan mutuamente su virginidad. Con Alba embarazada, deciden huir y casarse. Solo entonces Mauricio descubre que Alba es la hija única del Almirante Arruchaga, jefe de la Marina de Perón, cabeza y brazo ejecutivo de la persecución de estudiantes y pensadores liberales; victimario de Marco, quien fuera el gurú intelectual de Mauro. Su fuga (recatando su hijo, y de Alba), va desde su Argentina, pasando por Sud y Centro-América y México siguiendo la huella del "Che" hasta Cuba. Alba permanece atrapada en Argentina, obligada por un trato diabólico con su padre, el Almirante. En Cuba, Mauricio Goldstein, ( ahora apodado Mauro Chasqui), lidera la campaña alfabetizadora, criticando la dictadura y predicando la educación como la única ruta a la Democracia Social. Mientras vive, el aura del "Che" lo protege de los secuaces de Fidel Castro. Decenios mas tarde el patriarca Mauro Chasqui lleva la voz de La Nueva Cuba a las Naciones Unidas.
About the Author: Adolfo Neufeld, original de La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, vivió en Pergamino, Unquillo (Córdoba). Cursó el secundario y parte de Medicina en la ciudad de Córdoba, donde entabló relación con Ernesto Guevara, el futuro "Che". A los veinte años se lanzo a recorrer el mundo. Salió de buenos Aires con un pasaje de tren hasta Paso de los Libres sin más medios ni profesión. Su destino era Nueva York. Por medio de trenes de carga, barcos mercantes de diferentes banderas y la generosidad de los camioneros y automovilistas, llegó a su meta al cabo de dos años. Ya experto en los diferentes sistemas de movilidad, recorrió muchos países y todos los continentes. Abrió el "Café Latinoamericano Pan y Canto" en el corazón de Manhatan. Luego de ser voluntario en la guerra de Yom Kippur, publicó en Nueva York sus memorias y experiencias en "To War in a Red Subaru" y "Love@First Site". (Ambos libros disponibles en Amazon). Luego de un intento de hacer un doctorado en Filosofía y Letras en Argentina, reinició andanzas al no saber adaptarse a una Argentina reprimida por la presión inflexible de Perón y Evita. En busca de fortuna y bienestar pasó la mayor parte de su vida en Nueva York y finalmente Suiza para radicarse en Argentina casi medio siglo después de su partida. Así cambió la pulcra democracia Suiza y su gélida población y por un cálido pueblo y una democracia "In Absentia". Nuevamente radicado en Argentina trata de influenciar la recuperación de la educación con un movimiento social de conducción ética.
