Para Rubén su existencia cambia con un viaje a la India, cuando recorriendo las calurosas y abarrotadas calles de New Delhi se encuentra con un santón hindú que no para de reír y dar saltos encima de una pila de neumáticos viejos. Aunque su primer instinto es rechazarle, los acontecimientos pronto le reconducen hacia él y descubre que tras esa apariencia descuidada se esconde un hombre muy enigmático, capaz de guiarle por un mundo nuevo para él, donde nada es lo que parece ser y todo se reviste de un sentido trascendente más allá de lo que el ojo puede ver. A partir de ese momento, extraños encuentros sexuales, rituales desconocidos y misteriosas enseñanzas serán la clave para que Rubén pueda conocer su verdadero destino.
About the Author: Corneli Roure (Barcelona, 1960) es autor de diferentes obras tanto en castellano como en catalán. Su producción literaria es heterogénea y recorre estilos y temas que van desde el cuento y la narración corta hasta el ensayo y la novela. Aunque el autor del presente libro ha publicado poco, sí puede decirse que ha escrito bastante y que él mismo ha sido testigo de su propia evolución literaria desde su primera obra en clave esotérica, Elucidario del Apocalipsis (Atalanta Editorial, 1996), hasta El mundo pasa ante mí. Entre tanto, escribió Lo divino en lo humano, un ensayo filosófico fruto de su vinculación a las ciencias herméticas, como también al hilo de la tradición universal. Más tarde vendrían El Grimorio (Ushuaia Ediciones, 2011) o una trilogía de novelas cortas denominada Atavismo, así como un buen número de cuentos y relatos cortos en lengua catalana, algunos de los cuales forman un volumen titulado Realitats contrariades i altres realitats; y como resultado de su experiencia en biología y técnicas arbóreas: La dignitat de l'arbre (2006). En la actualidad, trabaja en dos novelas más y también en un tratado de árboles y arbustos característicos de su comarca. Su relato Hi havia un cargol al terrat del pis (La Busca Edicions, 2002) le hizo merecedor del premio Emili Teixidor, mientras que con el germen de El Grimorio (titulado a la sazón El Grimorio de Puigpedrer) ganó en 1999 el premio Els Contes de l'Alquimista (Emboscall Editorial, 1999). Profesionalmente, Corneli Roure es también maestro de yoga y meditación, así como técnico en árboles y jardines, y combina dichas actividades con la literatura cuando le es permitido. Ha dedicado gran parte de su vida al estudio de la tradición y los libros sagrados de la humanidad, a la alquimia y la magia natural, al conocimiento en definitiva, fruto de una inextinguible inquietud por aprender y una gran curiosidad por descubrir la naturaleza de la existencia desde la experiencia directa. Esas premisas son la base y motor verdaderos de su actividad literaria.
