About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Eleonora is a strong woman, willing to pay for her mistakes, but wants to prevent her daughter Corinne from falling into the emotional traps that have forced her to take refuge in a Paris apartment, far from her loved ones but far too close to an immeasurable sadness.

Corinne is in Italy and the mother-daughter relationship has been torn apart like an old sheet, one that has been used and washed far too many times, but suddenly Eleonora finds the way to mend that broken fabric: day after day, with words, she will put together a map of those torn garments that she left in Florence. Hidden within meticulous descriptions of skirts, blouses, and dresses, she sends tips for her daughter to understand that life is made of blotches and patches, mended and stitched, and yet there, under a crooked hem or a revealing neckline, it is still us, very much alive and ready for life.
