La razon que me llevo a escribir este libro es por lo siguiente. LLevo 20 años caminando por el camino obscuro de la vida. Quiero mandarles un mensaje a todos los niños que son abusados al rededor del mundo. Que crean en si mismod que al final del camino habra una luz especial para cada uno de ellos. Tambien quiero explicarles un poco de todos los desafios. De nuestros hermanos Centro Americanos tratando de llegar a Los Estados Unidos. Tantas aventuras tantos caminos recorridos. Tantas madres llorando por lo que fue su tesoro. Sueños que han sido imposibles. A los amigos que han quedado en el camino se les recuerda con respeto y con cariño. En la memoria de su gente viviran. Mi nombre es Santos Chavez, naci en Honduras el 2 de Julio de 1983. Viaje Los Estados Unidos cuando tenia 10 años de edad. Ahora vivo en Las Vegas tengo 2 hijos y soy divorciado. Trabajo como electricista desde los 14 años de edad. Me espire en hacer este libro por tantas cosas que me han pasado a mi corta edad. Como abusos infantil, vivir en la miseria el no conocer una escuela nunca. Complice de asecinato y complice de violaciones de niños. Sobreviviente del huracan Mitch, de un acesino a mano armada, de ataques con bombas en Mexico, de secuestros en Mexico, 7 dias en el desierto sin agua y sin comida y de intento de suicidio. Problemas con imigracion, pandillas y drogas.
About the Author: El joven que desafio la muerte, es el relato inolvidable de su ninez. La historia de Santos Chavez, quien era abusado macabramente por su padre, el cual fue culpable de la muerte de su madre siendo el apenas un nino de 2 anos. Desde entonces el luchaba por sobrevivir, el solo siendo un nino se arrastraba sobre la tierra tratando de encontrar algo de comer. Se llego el momento que Santos Chavez, aspiraba con ir a la escuela pero eso nunca paso. Su padre dia a dia lo manipulaba que tenia que salir a trabajar, para que los hermanos y el pudieran calmar el hambre por que su padre era un sicopata. Aquel nino asi fue como sobrevivio hasta la edad de ocho anos. En el 1998, su choza donde el vivia fue arrastrada ocasionada por el Huracan Mitch el nino se quedo a la deriva nuevamente. Despues de eso decidio irse a vivir con un tio. Unas semanas despues lamentablemente su tio fue ejecutado. Decepcionado y triste el joven se salio a las calles, en la calle se encontro a un amigo que le enseno a robar, matar, manipular, secuestrar y lo mas horrendo que puede existir en el mundo. El joven hostigado de tanta manipulacion decidio mandar todo al diablo. Eso lo llevo a seguir un dificil camino la cual era la aventura mas grande a su corta edad era llegar a Los Estados Unidos. Seis jovenes mas juntos con el que no pudieron desafiar todo obstaculo, que el presentaba en el camino, hambre, frio, calor, sueno, desesperacion, secuestros, violaciones, golpes, humillaciones, macabras amenazas, asesinatos, trastornos mentales, siete dias en un desierto, aprueba de muerte a la deriva, miembro de pandillas, una ilusion, dos luceros que alumbran su camino, conflictos familiares, y varios intentos de suicidio. Es lo que lo llevo a contarles las anecdotas de su vida. Soy Santos Chavez, nacido en la Republica de Honduras, el 2 julio, 1983. Emigre a Los Estados Unidos a la edad de 12 anos ahora radico en Las Vegas Nevada. Trabajo en la construccion y estudio para electricista, soy divorciado, tengo dos hijos t lucho por una vida mejor."
