In dieser Arbeit wurde die Einstellung von Ärzten zu Werbeaktivitäten von Pharmaunternehmen im Krankenhaus Yekatit 12 untersucht. Die Studie basiert auf einer Querschnittsbefragung. Um Primärdaten für diese Studie zu sammeln, wurden alle fest angestellten Ärzte des Krankenhauses gebeten, den Fragebogen zu beantworten, d.h. es wurde eine Zählung durchgeführt. Die Daten aus der Umfrage wurden mit dem Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS Version 20) eingegeben und analysiert. Die Ergebnisse der Studie zeigen, dass die Einstellung der Ärzte insgesamt im positiven Bereich liegt, aber nur knapp über dem neutralen Punkt. Die Analyse des t-Tests für unabhängige Stichproben und der einseitigen ANOVA für verschiedene demografische Untergruppen zeigt, dass sich die durchschnittlichen Einstellungswerte für die Alters- und Geschlechtsgruppen unterscheiden, nicht aber für die Gruppen mit unterschiedlichem Bildungsstand. Abschließend werden in der Studie Vorschläge und Empfehlungen für verschiedene Gruppen gegeben, darunter Pharmaunternehmen, Vermarkter, PSR und politische Entscheidungsträger im Land, um eine effektive und ethische Arzneimittelwerbung zu gewährleisten.
