Weitere Kapitel durchleuchten die Bildungs- und Lehraufgabe der Berufsschule in der Ausbildung für diesen Lehrberuf in Österreich und beschreiben die gegenwärtige Unterrichtssituation. In weiterer Folge findet sich eine Betrachtung zu den elektronischen Medien, mit einer Definition des Medienbegriffs, einer Beschreibung der Funktionen einzelner digitaler Medien und einem Überblick über ihren möglichen Einsatz im Unterricht. Der empirische Teil erforscht die Möglichkeiten und die Akzeptanz des Einsatzes digitaler Medien im Unterricht für den Lehrberuf der Bautechnischen Zeichner und Zeichnerinnen in der Landesberufsschule. Dafür wurde der AMA-Unterricht gewählt und mit einer Kontrollgruppe ohne definierte digitale Medien verglichen. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler beider Gruppen wurden nach ihrer Sichtweise über die jeweilige Methode befragt, und ihre Leistungen hinsichtlich einer Schularbeit dokumentiert.
