Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es herauszustellen, inwieweit die Bild-Zeitung ihren Werbesprüchen gerecht wird oder ob sie Einfluss auf die persönliche Meinung nimmt. Dazu wird zunächst das Themengebiet der Lesermeinung. Des Weiteren wird die Gattung des Boulevardjournalismus erläutert und inwiefern die Bild-Zeitung darunter gefasst werden kann. Des Weiteren soll die Bildung und Beeinflussung der Meinung unter den relevanten Perspektiven losgelöst voneinander betrachtet werden. Die Seite des Rezipienten fragt nach den Möglichkeiten, wie Meinungen im Alltag gebildet werden und welche Aspekte auf das Rezipieren eines Artikels wirken. Außerdem spielen situative Faktoren, wie der Grad der Involviertheit eine Rolle bei der Beeinflussung und werden an dieser Stelle ebenfalls analysiert. Anschließend wird die Seite der Trägermedien betrachtet. Die Manipulation der Meinung wird zunächst allgemein definiert, um im Folgenden Merkmale aufzuzählen, die eine solche Manipulation begünstigen. Hierzu nach sprachlichen und gestalterischen Kriterien differenziert. Zur abschließenden Zusammenfassung wird am "Fall Zschäpe" erläutert, wie die aufgezeigten Merkmale praktisch in der Bild-Zeitung umgesetzt werden und im Vergleich zur Berichterstattung der Tageszeitung des Kölner Stadtanzeiger auf den Leser einwirken. Im Zuge der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung lässt sich Manipulation durch Massenmedien häufig nicht mehr nachverfolgen. Menschen greifen täglich zu Medien und rezipieren aufbereitete Inhalte. Inwieweit diese Inhalte der Wahrheit entsprechen oder ob sie die Realität verzerrt darstellen, lässt sich beim bloßen Rezipie
