Unterrichtsentwurf aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Mathematik, Note: 1,5, Staatliches Seminar für Didaktik und Lehrerbildung (Grund- und Hauptschule) Sindelfingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit stellt einen Unterrichtsentwurf zur Herleitung der Zahl Pi im Mathematikunterricht einer 8. Klasse. Das Stundenziel besteht darin, dass die Schülerinnen und Schüler sich die Kreiszahl π selbst herleiten und damit die Formel zur Berechnung des Flächeninhaltes eines Kreises wissen. Dafür ermitteln die Schüler mit Hilfe eines Maßbandes den Umfang des Kreises und tragen die Ergebnisse in eine Tabelle in. In einem nächsten Schritt ermitteln sie mit Hilfe des Geodreiecks oder Lineals den Durchmesser des Kreises. In einem dritten Schritt ermitteln sie den Quotient aus Umfang und Durchmesser. Die Schüler trainieren die Kompetenz mit symbolischen, formalen und technischen Elementen umzugehen, in dem sie Umfänge und Durchmesser mit Messgeräten ermitteln. Die Schüler werden während der Arbeitsphase und in der Schlussphase miteinander über das Problem ins Gespräch kommen. Hierdurch wird das Kommunizieren in und über Mathematik gefördert. Die Schüler trainieren das Argumentieren, in dem sie über richtige und falsche Lösungsmöglichkeiten und Ergebnisse diskutieren. Kreise sind den Schülern aus ihrem Alltag bekannt. Man trifft täglich auf sie. Sei es beim Trinken aus dem am oberen Rand runden Glas, beim Öffnen von Konservendosen oder beim Zerschneiden der kreisrunden Pizza. Berechnungen am Kreis sind jedoch den meisten Schülern fremd. Dabei ist es für Schüler in der Berufsfindungsphase von Bedeutung zu wissen, dass es Berufe gibt, in denen täglich mit solchen Formeln gearbeitet wird. Zu nennen wäre beispielsweise der Tiefbauer, der Schreiner oder viele weitere handwerkliche Berufe. Geometrische Themen wie der Kreis sind bei Schüler häufig sehr beliebt.
