Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 1999 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Psychologie, Note: 2,0, Universität zu Köln, 2 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In ihrem 1979 erschienenen Buch beschreibt Alice Miller in drei Studien Verdrän¬gungsprozesse, die beim begabten Kind in der frühen Kindheit geschehen mussten und das Erwachsenenleben enorm beeinflussen, obwohl die damit verbundenen Gefühle und Wünsche als Resultat eben dieser Prozesse unbewusst sind. Der Ter¬minus "begabtes Kind" meint hier nicht eine intellektuelle oder kognitive, sondern eine emotionale Begabung insofern, als das Kind Wünsche und Bedürfnisse der Eltern präzise erkennt und darauf spezifisch reagiert. Darin besteht das Drama dieses Kindes, weil es nämlich, um die Wünsche der Eltern erfüllen zu können, seine eigenen Gefühle und Vorstellungen unterdrücken und verdrängen muss. Wollen die Eltern z.B. nicht, dass ihr Kind weint, über Hunger klagt, Schmerzem¬pfindungen oder andere Gefühle zeigt, wird das hierfür sensible Kind diese zwei¬fellos realen Gefühle verleugnen, unter anderem auch deshalb, weil es befürchtet, mit dem Entzug der elterlichen Liebe und Zuwendung bestraft zu werden. Diese emotionale Wärme muss mit der Aufgabe des eigenen, wahren Selbst erkauft werden. Dass diese Problemlösungsstrategie nicht aufgeht, erweist sich spätestens im Erwachsenenalter, wo die verdrängten Gefühle, Wünsche und Bedürfnisse wiederkehren und der Versuch unternommen wird, sie auf eine andere Weise zu realisieren bzw. zu befriedigen. Dies geschieht insbesondere in der Partnerschaft, wo der oder die Betreffende typischerweise regrediert und damit sich selbst eine Kind- und dem Partner eine Elternrolle zuweist. Punktuell auftretend kann dies ei¬ner Beziehung nichts anhaben, aber wenn dieses Verhaltensmuster verstärkt auf¬tritt, wird eine solche asymmetrische Beziehung auf Dauer nicht funktionieren, zumal der in die Vater- oder Mutterrolle gedrängte Partner massiv überfordert wird.
