Die Erfullung der vielseitigen und sich stetig verscharfenden Anforderungen an verbrennungsmotorische Antriebe ist an einen hohen Innovationsbedarf gebunden, welcher mit der Erschliessung neuer Technologien eine weitere Zunahme der Anzahl freier Parameter moderner Verbrennungskraftmaschinen erwarten lasst. In vielen Bereichen des Motorentwicklungsprozesses leisten die aus thermodynamischen Modellen abgeleiteten Werkzeuge zur Motorprozesssimulation und -analyse bereits einen wertvollen Beitrag zur Beherrschung des zunehmend komplexeren Gesamtsystems. In dieser Arbeit wird auf Basis dieser gangigen thermodynamischen Modelle eine Moglichkeit zur echtzeitfahigen Analyse des Motorprozesses unter beliebigen Betriebszustanden vorgestellt. Dazu werden zunachst Methoden zur Optimierung der Rechenzeit unter Beibehaltung der physikalischen Ergebnisqualitat erarbeitet. Zur gezielten Analyse transienter Betriebszustande wird unter Anwendung frei verfugbarer Datendienste weiterhin ein Ansatz zur zeitlichen Fusion von Daten unterschiedlicher Messsysteme formuliert. Eine ausfuhrliche Validierung gegen ein etabliertes Auswerteverfahren sowie ausgewahlte Anwendungsfalle verdeutlichen abschliessend die insgesamt erreichte hohe Ergebnisqualitat sowie den erzielten Mehrwert gegenuber Online- oder gar Offlineverfahren zur thermodynamischen Motorprozessanalyse. Zum Autor Oliver Ludwig studierte zwischen 2001 und 2006 an der Fachhochschule Braunschweig-Wolfenbuttel Fahrzeuginformatik im Praxisverbund. Die vorliegende Doktorarbeit wurde zwischen 2007 und 2010 in der Konzernforschung fur Ottomotoren der Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg angefertigt. Das derzeitige Aufgabenfeld von Herrn Ludwig umfasst zukunftige Antriebssysteme.
