Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Englisch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1,3, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gardners Abkehr von der Idee, dass die menschliche Intelligenz ein eindimensionales Konstrukt sei, das mit einer Zahl zu beschreiben sei, führte ihn zu der Annahme, dass jeder Mensch mehrere Formen von Intelligenzen in sich trägt, die in einzigartiger Verknüpfung und in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung in jedem vorhanden sind. Dieser Ansatz unterstützt die mittlerweile zentrale Aussage, dass jeder Mensch und somit jeder Lerner individuell und einzigartig ist. Diese Einzigartigkeit führte in den letzten Jahren in der Pädagogik zu der Forderung nach mehr Berücksichtigung dieser individuellen Besonderheiten der Lerner. Differenzierung wurde zu einem bedeutenden Thema in der Gesellschaft und somit auch in der Schule. Verstärkt wurde die Heterogenität der Lerngruppe betrachtet und für beachtenswert empfunden, so dass Differenzierung mittlerweile ein aktuelles und wachsendes Phänomen ist, dem sehr viel Beachtung geschenkt wird. Das sich anschließende zweite Kapitel wird sich mit den Begriffen Differenzierung und Individualisierung beschäftigen und den Bezug zu der Theorie der Multiplen Intelligenzen herausstellen. Die Theorie der Multiplen Intelligenzen ist nicht als Ausweg, Lösung und Hilfestellung für die Ziele von Differenzierung zu sehen, sie stellt eine eigenständige Theorie dar, die eine zusätzliche Basis liefert und zeigt, dass Individualisierung und wachsende Differenzierung im Unterricht ihre Berechtigung haben und nötig sind. Das dritte Kapitel dieser Arbeit führt diese Hintergründe zur Entstehung und die Entwicklung der Theorie Gardners weiter aus und geht auf die Inhalte der Theorie ein. In Kapitel vier und fünf werden mögliche Praxisbezüge Gardners Theorie vorgestellt. Dabei wird Kapitel fünf eine konkrete Anwendung am Beispiel einer Unterrichtseinheit zeigen. Es wird untersucht, inwiefern diese und zusätzlich erarbeitet
