Seit vielen Jahrzehnten zählt das Thema "Lernen" zu einem wichtigen Forschungsgegenstand von Psychologen, Pädagogen und Verhaltensforschern. Kaum ein anderes Thema weißt eine simultane Komplexität auf, wie das Lernen eines menschlichen Wesens. Von Kinderbeinen an bis ins hohe Alter hin sind wir in der Lage unser Verhalten situationsgerecht abzustimmen und uns neue Fähig- und Fertigkeiten anzueignen. Aus psychologischer Sicht wird das Lernen als ein Erfahrungsprozess bezeichnet. Dieser Prozess führt dazu, dass Menschen ihr Verhalten ständig anpassen und verändern. Auch in unterschiedlichen Arbeitssituationen sind Menschen in der Lage ihr Verhalten den Gegebenheiten unmittelbar anzupassen. Eine mögliche Erklärung hierzu könnte die sozial-kognitive Lerntheorie des kanadischen Psychologen Albert Bandura darstellen. Um eine wissenschaftlich fundierte Aussage zur Übertragbarkeit der sozial-kognitiven Lerntheorie auf die Einarbeitung eines Vertriebsmitarbeiters treffen zu können, ist eine vorherige Analyse aller Ergebnisse aus Albert Banduras Forschungen notwendig. Kapitel zwei dient vorweg dazu den Lebensweg von Albert Bandura zu beleuchten. Kapitel drei dieser Ausarbeitung dient anschließend als Grundlagenkapitel und geht auf die begriffliche Abgrenzung zwischen "Lernen" und "Lerntheorien" ein.
