Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Literaturgeschichte, Epochen, Note: 2.0, Universität Trier, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Begriff der Bildung wird zu Beginn kurz in seiner historischen Entstehung skizziert. Wichtig für das Verständnis des Romans ist vor allen Dingen die Bedeutung des Begriffs im 18. Jahrhundert, die in großem Maße Wilhelm von Humboldt prägte. Auf diesen bildungstheoretischen Hintergrund folgt die Textarbeit an "Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahren", wobei zuerst auf die Bereiche der Bildung eingegangen wird. Der ästhetische Bildungsbereich thematisiert die Vorstellung von Totalität der menschlichen Fähigkeiten, die in diesem Zusammenhang erläutert wird. Der religiöse Bildungsbereich wird durch das sechste Buch, die "Bekenntnisse einer schönen Seele", eingeführt. Die Turmgesellschaft bringt Wilhelm mit dem ethischen Bildungsbereich in Kontakt, der ihm eine gesellschaftliche Bildungskomponente erschließt. In dem Psycho-sexuellen Bildungsbereich wird die Entwicklung Wilhelms verfolgt: seine Beziehung zu den Eltern, besonders dem Vater, seine Loslösung vom Elternhaus, seine verschiedenen Liebesverhältnisse und schließlich seine eigene Vaterrolle. Auf diese Bildungsbereiche wirken unterschiedliche Bildungsmächte ein, die im vierten Kapitel der Prüfungsarbeit betrachtet werden und in zwei Gruppen unterteilt sind: die innere Bildungsmacht und die äußeren Bildungsmächte. Die innere Bildungsmacht ist in dem Menschen selbst angelegt und kann als Bildungstrieb bezeichnet werden. Über diesen Bildungstrieb kommt Goethes Gedanken der Entelechie zum Ausdruck, auf den an dieser Stelle eingegangen wird. Das Schicksal ist eine der äußeren Bildungsmächter, wobei besonders der Tod den Menschen zu neuen Einsichten führen kann. Kunst und Lektür stellen weitere äußere Bildungsmächte dar: doch von fast noch größerer Rolle ist die Begegnung mit Menschen, wobei besonders das Gespräch eine bildende Funktion übernimmt.
