Sobre el autor

Walter R. Stahel, arquitecto y analista industrial, es ampliamente reconocido como una de las personas clave que formularon el concepto de Economía Circular. Ya en 1976, planteó la visión de una economía en ciclos (o economía circular) y su impacto sobre la creación de empleo, la competitividad económica, el ahorro de recursos y la prevención de residuos. Esto quedó reflejado en su informe para la Comisión Europea "El potencial de sustituir mano de obra por energía" -en coautoría con Genevieve Reday-, el cual se publicó en 1981.

Ha trabajado para empresas, gobiernos, universidades e institutos de investigación en los cinco continentes, y es autor y coautor de aproximadamente 400 publicaciones, muchas de las cuales han sido traducidas a diferentes idiomas.
